very comprehensive and up-to-date search engine optimization book
that provides you with a step-by-step guide to achieving top 10
rankings. It also includes case studies, specific uses of optimization,
what to do to avoid getting banned, etc.
I bought this eBook because I depend a lot on
Search Engine Optimization for my website traffic and I was concerned
about the effect of future search engine changes on my rankings.
Although my sites benefited from the recent changes
at Google called the "Florida Update," this eBook by
Sean Burns showed me a lot of things that I was doing wrong and
that might get my sites penalised in future updates. So I spent
some time using the tips in this eBook to de-optimize
some of my sites.
If you are well-versed in SEO techniques, you
might find some of the descriptions of metatags, etc, very basic.
But they helped fill in a lot of gaps in my knowledge of how search
engines (especially Google - which Rankings
Revealed mainly focuses on) work.
The case studies are especially enlightening as
Sean explains how he chose keywords to optimize his sites, boost
PR and get high rankings for his chosen keyphrases.
If you're a beginner, you will find the descriptions
very useful and informative. Rankings
Revealed gives an excellent introduction to SEO and demystifies
a lot of the jargon and mystery.
It also comes with updates for 12 months and access
to a private forum where you can interact with Sean and request
evaluations of your optimized pages.
Don't buy it if you expect to
use tricks like Smartpages, doorway pages or other underhand techniques
designed to fool the search engines. This book explains none of
these topics except for the fact that they will get you banned.
What you will get are basic, durable and legitimate
techniques to optimize your pages and boost your pagerank. These
are techniques that will stand you in good stead for years to
come.
Rankings
Revealed is highly recommended for websites that depend a
lot on search engine rankings for their traffic or those that
could benefit from improving their rankings in the long term.
